Last Monday I had the very wonderful privilege of organising a styled shoot for a new wedding venue in the New Forest. Hale Park is a privately owned country estate in Fordingbridge that is poised to host all sorts of grand events including weddings. There is even the local village church in its grounds!
Charlotte Wise and myself wanted to create a very feminine and delicate styled shoot for Hale. Using the stunning grounds as our playground and backdrop. We think it has a very french chateaux appeal and we hope you like it just as much as we do.
Look out for it when it goes viral soon! In the meantime, here are a few sneak peaks x

I am very excited to see our latest styled shoot featured on the very fabulous Want That Wedding wedding blog, launching today. I had so much fun organising this one and pulling my dream team together again to create something feminine, sexy and powerful. Something which I think we all need to celebrate and be reminded of now and again… we’re women and we have incredible strength.
“You know what’s really, powerfully sexy? A sense of humour. A taste for adventure. A healthy glow. Hips to grab on to. Openness. Confidence. Humility. Appetite. Intuition. … Smart-ass comebacks. Presence. A quick wit. Dirty jokes told by an innocent-looking lady. … A storyteller. A genius. A doctor. A new mother. A woman who realises how beautiful she is”. ~ Courtney E. Martin
Watch my blog closely in the next few weeks as I’ll be revealing how I created model Jess’s sensual makeup design.

Yesterday was simply brilliant! When Matt asked me to be a part of this amazing shoot last Wednesday I couldn’t resist. The theme – ‘wild, tattooed bride’ – who wouldn’t say yes to that! We started off in the New Forest around Rhinefield and then made our way to Durdle Door in Dorset for some sexy beach scenes. Walking back up the cliff side at night was both tiring and exhilarating about the prospect of what we have just achieved.
I truly cannot wait to see Matt’s images!!

I have been asked how I created *that* makeup look for Somerely’s ‘Dutch Masters’ shoot by quite a few clients now, who want me to recreate a version for them for their grand estate weddings. Which is so flattering that they admire my work in the first place (I get a little teary when someone says they’re a fan!) And so exciting, as I simply loved creating this look for international model Emelie Stenman.
So here is a little run down of how I did it…
I started with the eyes first of all – creating a deep smokey eye using browns from MAC namely Brown Down, Handwritten and Brun. Then used Amber Lights for the middle of the lid to give it that golden shade that photographs so beautifully. I then lined the eyes and put on some Eylure false eyelashes to finish. Neatly filling in the brows with shadow, I then went onto the base.
I used two primers and a facial serum in Orogold 24k Vitamin C Booster, to lift the skin – also using Urban Decay’s Vitamin spray. I then created a bespoke foundation for Emelie to allow her skin to breath whilst covering – which she loved the feel of. Finishing with concealer, a little contouring and a highlighter. A pop of blusher from Bobbi Brown in Peony on the cheeks, I then used a setting powder all over very lightly.
To finish I used two lipsticks from MAC in Rebel and Ruby Woo, with a touch of Dazzleglass in Funtabulous (now discontinued) to complete the look x

Looking back over the year at some of my portfolio work, and came across this beautiful 1930’s art deco inspired winter bride. I personally organised this styled shoot back in March, at the National Trust Portland House located in Weymouth. I wanted the makeup design to be very much my interpretation of the 1930’s party scene, with a modern twist. As often I feel that couples want to go with a theme, but get bogged down in making it authentic – whilst they should really do their own take on the era, and make it personal to them. Which is what I wanted to reflect in the makeup design.
I started of with the eyes and made a very basic outline of a smokey eye, then filled in the centre of lid with MAC’s glitter in gold. I then neatly lined the eyes and used some vintage looking false eyelashes by Eylure. Filling in the brows to a natural arch and depth, I then created a flawless base for model Chloe – using a formula I have personally created for her. Something which I do for all of my models and clients I regularly work with. I then swept a strong line of peach blush along the cheekbone, and used MAC’s lipstick in Rebel with MAC’s dazzleglass in Funtabulous (discontinued) over the top to finish x
