Yesterday I had the privilege of being involved in Esther’s french garden inspired wedding at her parents house near Ringwood. This is the first of Esther’s two weddings due to COVID, and I am lucky enough to be doing her makeup for both!
Esther wanted something pink, classic and pretty for her first look. For her second we are going for deeper tones and more of an autumn vibe. This one was all about the prettiness and keeping everything light and bright x
Today is the wedding of Amy and Angus, and what an absolutely perfect day it is for them! The beautiful couple meticulously planned every little detail for their garden wedding, held at Angus’s parents house in Wiltshire, and it really paid off today with gorgeous bell tents, hale bales and a marquee like no other!
When I met Amy for her makeup trial she was very open to ideas, but said that she very much wanted to wear coral lipstick for her big day sooo… her wish was my command! I teemed Amy’s boho chic hairstyle and wedding gown with a coral and brown smokey eye, a little blusher and contour – finishing up with that coral lipstick x
I had the enormous pleasure of doing Zoe’s bridal makeup this morning, for her garden wedding held at her parents house located in Lyndhurst (The New Forest) Zoe is such a lovely, down-to-earth kinda gal that I needed to reflect this in her bespoke bridal makeup design. Pretty, sweet and natural being key words to describe this look. Zoe also wanted something that she could later let her hair down to when she would celebrate her marriage at her parents house, where a gorgeous vintage bell tent was erected in an immaculately kept garden. Coupled with string tea lights and a Karaoke machine – I knew Zoe wouldn’t want a high maintenance look!
So here I used soft browns and pale mauves to highlight her stunning blue eyes. A lightly lined eye and small false eyelashes finished the fuss free design. I then kept the base simple, yet pretty with blusher and a little bronzer – teamed with Zoe’s own lipstick (which she loves) I then added a little highlighter to finish x
It was Sophie’s wedding yesterday, and I had the wonderful job of turning her into a naturally beautiful bride.
Sophie and her partner were going to have a traditional wedding in a nearby church, then were heading back to her parents house where they were going to celebrate in style in the garden! Garden wedding receptions are becoming increasingly popular, especially in the New Forest where the weather is usually behaving and the scenery is always stunning. I think couples also like the idea of a more relaxed feel, and the fact that they can decorate the outdoor venue however they like (parents permitting!)
Because of this relaxed feel, Sophie equally wanted her makeup to be non-fussy and to have a very natural feel to it. I kept her base very plain and just used a little blusher in Rosie for Autograph English Rose Blush. I also used a Rosie eye palette to create her vintage look eyes in Deco Diamonds, lightly lined the eye and finished the look with some false eyelashes in Eylure no.114 Sophie’s lip colour is a bespoke blend x
