For a classic bridal makeup look there’s nothing more chic than a nude, pink lipstick shade. But, like skin tones, nude lipsticks come in a myriad of beautiful shades. Whether you like a ‘true’ nude in a beige colour or a subtle pink or orange hue to enhance the natural colour of your lips, one of my top 5 nude lipsticks will be perfect for your wedding day. For those who are die-hard matte lipstick addicts, Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk is your NBF, but if you’re a satin-finish girl (and even like a bit of shimmer) you need a Nars Satin Lipstick in your make up bag! x
On Friday I had the pleasure of designing Rebecca’s bridal makeup for her wedding at Chewton Glen, and also provided hair and makeup services for her evening soiree event at another New Forest venue, Balmer Lawn. Rebecca wanted her makeup to be delicate, soft and natural so as not to scare or worry her other half, who wanted her to remain quite bare-faced. We spoke in depth about creating something that suited both parties and yet, was good enough to last and be gorgeous in photographs.
I think the final result is simply amazing and really suits Rebecca’s naturally flawless skin and green eyes. As Rebecca isn’t really a lipstick person I used a really subtle blend of a moisturising lipstick in Chanel 54 Boy – a shade my bride’s just love x
