Nicola actually found my services through her mother, as she was doing some research on her daughter’s wedding venue and saw that I was the venue’s personally selected professional bridal Makeup Artist. So after contacting me to book in, the whole bridal party shortly followed suit including Nicola the bride. Nicola told me that while she can do her own makeup and enjoys playing with her look, she thought the wedding day was really the day you want a professional who can make it last longer and know what colours/products to use – which is so true of many brides I have, who are confident with their ‘everyday’ makeup but really just want something that is both camera friendly and gorgeous close up for guests.
Nicola’s wedding dress was a stunner! So delicate with a 1920’s shape, so the makeup had to be as equally elegant – we decided upon a light smokey eye, carefully lined with brown eyeliner – a flawless base with highlighting and a coral/pink lip to really make the outfit pop. This lip colour also reflected in her choice of colour for the bridesmaids bouquets.
The wedding was to be held at the Hotel Terravina in the New Forest, which has to be one of my all time favourites in the forest. It’s so private and quiet down a country road, and the staff their are so amazing and helpful. Charlotte the wedding planner can often be seen milling around putting the final touches around the venue, and making guests feel so warmly welcomed x
