This morning I had the great pleasure of doing the bridal makeup for Jacqui at Carey’s Manor Hotel and Spa – which seems to be my spiritual home at the moment, as I have had a whole year of weddings at this beautiful New Forest hotel. Jacquibooked me a bit last minute, with having a makeup trial just on Sunday! But she knew what she wanted and was confident in my work – which is so wonderful and she was an absolute joy to work with. Jacqui wanted a smokey eye look – not too harsh, but just naturally beautiful. I kept the eyes light using browns instead of black for the smokey element, then added further impact by the addition of thick false eyelashes Jacqui loved. I then kept the skin flawless using a mix of foundation from my Bobbi Brown BBU palette, using bronzer and blusher to give warmth to the complexion. Keeping the brows natural, I then added a soft pale brown/pink to finish Jacqui’s bridal makeup design x
